The Greeks and heroes of Greek mythology

Typhoon

Typhon attempted to destroy Zeus for defeating the Titans. Initially, Typhon overpowered Zeus and ripped out his tendons, but these were recovered by Hermes and returned to the body of their owner; after that, Zeus proceeded to fight Typhon once more until defeating him. Defeated, Typhon was confined under Mount Etna.

According to descriptions, Typhon was a colossal and creepy winged monster: his stature was such that he could reach for the stars. It had dragon heads by fingers and a large number of snakes were distributed between its thighs, with even more snakes forming its legs from these. Typhon could scorch everything that opposed him with his fiery gaze, as well as vomit fire and lava from his mouth, create hurricanes and earthquakes with the movement of his wings.
