                            The weapon of Hermes and Athena

In addition to being a strong and brave boy, he was also the son of Zeus and had the protection of the gods.  As soon as he set out, he was on his way,he saw coming to meet him a man wearing a winged helmet, winged sandals, and a golden wand with wings at one end: it was Hermes.

"Your courage is not enough, Perseus," said the god. You need the right weapons. I can give you a diamond-edged sword, the only one capable of cut off the scales that protect Medusa's neck. But it is not enough. The goddess Athena then appeared before them in all their majesty. And he gave Perseus his bronze shield, polished in such a way that it reflected everything as a mirror.
