The return to the island of Serifos After a few days, the newlyweds Perseus and Andromeda arrived on the island of Serifos. Much had been the time and many adventures lived. Since the young Perseus left the island in search of Medusa's head, a trophy he had promised to the hated King Polydectes as a wedding gift. A head that was now enclosed in the magic bag that the nymphs had given him. As imprisoned was also his mother, poor Danae, who accompanied by Dictys the fisherman had had to take shelter in the temple of Athena. And it is that the wedding scheduled by Polydectes was nothing but a ploy to get Perseus away and as soon as he left the island, Polydectes returned to his insistent ways wanting Danae to be his at all costs.

The Andromeda Rescue During his journey and after killing the gorgon, Medusa, Perseus saw a naked Andromeda chained to a rock as an offering to this monstrous creature. He immediately fell in love with her and vowed to destroy the creature. Perseus performed this task and freed Andromeda, then married her. In one revelation, Perseus plunged his sword into the creature's back while in another, he used the Medusa's head to turn it into stone. The same Mycenae that would eventually be home to the Atreid dynasty and the throne of the ruthless Agamemnon. For those who do not know Greek mythology well, Agamemnon was the Mycenaean Greek monarch who led a thousand ships to Troy, where the Trojan War was fought, which lasted a decade, approximately 1200 BC.

Andromeda She was the daughter of the mythical kings of Ethiopia, Cepheus and Cassiopeia, as well as being the wife of Perseus and mother of seven children. Andromeda's mother, Cassiopeia, had committed hybris by boasting that her beauty, or that of her daughter, surpassed that of the Nereids. This provoked the fury of Poseidon, protector of the latter, so he decided to flood the land and send a sea monster, the keto, to finish off the men and cattle. Cepheus, father of Andromeda, knew from the oracle of Amun what the only solution was: to deliver his daughter to the monster. Consequently, her subjects forced him to chain her to a rock, naked except for certain jewels.

The fight against jellyfish She was beheaded by Perseus, who then used her head as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to put on her shield, the aegis. Since classical Greek antiquity, the image of Medusa's head is represented in the contraption that drives away the evil known as Gorgoneion. The myth may have originated in the abolition of the cults of the goddess Moon caria and the Libyan Neith in which the priestesses wore masks of gorgons. Perseus passed through northwest Africa next to the Titan Atlas, who was there holding the sky, and transformed it into stone. Similarly, the corals of the Red Sea were said to have formed from the blood of Medusa that splashed the algae when Perseus left the petrifying head by the beach during his brief stay in Ethiopia, where he saved and married the beautiful Princess Andromeda.

The weapon of Hermes and Athena In addition to being a strong and brave boy, he was also the son of Zeus and had the protection of the gods.  As soon as he set out, he was on his way,he saw coming to meet him a man wearing a winged helmet, winged sandals, and a golden wand with wings at one end: it was Hermes. "Your courage is not enough, Perseus," said the god. You need the right weapons. I can give you a diamond-edged sword, the only one capable of cut off the scales that protect Medusa's neck. But it is not enough. The goddess Athena then appeared before them in all their majesty. And he gave Perseus his bronze shield, polished in such a way that it reflected everything as a mirror.

Jellyfish She was a female ketone monster, turning into stone those who stared into her eyes. She was beheaded by Perseus, who then used her head as a weapon, until he gave it to the goddess Athena to put on her shield, the aegis. Since classical Greek antiquity, the image of Medusa's head is represented in the contraption that drives away the evil known as Gorgoneion.  The three Gorgon sisters Medusa, Sthenus, and Euryale were daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, or sometimes of Typhon and Echidna, both chthonic monsters of the archaic world. This genealogy is shared by her other sisters, the Greas, as in the chained Prometheus of Aeschylus, who places both trinities far away, in the dreadful plain of Cystene.

The Adventures of Perseus Perseus grew up to be a particularly strong and courageous young woman, like Zeus' other children of celebrities. His biggest challenge ended up being Polydectes. The ruler of the island fell in love with his mother, and Perseus was very protective of Danae. He kept her under guard at all times to keep her away from Polydectes, but the ruler was not denied forever. He did not fight Perseus, but he was going to find a way to get to Danae nonetheless. Perseus searches for Medusa's head, determined to keep his end of the bargain and keep his mother safe. Since he was the son of Zeus, however, he would not be alone. While Zeus had no involvement in Perseus' life, it does not mean that the gods were not aware of the young woman. The Greek gods loved to get involved in missions, and thus Perseus would be given a couple of tools to help him complete his task.
